Why The Future of America Depends on your Vote in November
We are living in exciting time in America right now with the presidential election just around the corner. I don’t think I have ever been so immensely interested in a presidential election in my life. I think with all the controversy surrounding each candidate the media can’t get enough and neither can the American people. I do come to you today talking about politics. I am not going to give you reasons why you should vote for this candidate or that candidate. You vote for the candidate you feel more connected to and who can make the changes you want to see in your life.
I do know who I am voting for. I hate arguing and I am that type of person that is like, “can’t we all get along?” I have grown up to believe everyone has different ideas and they are just as important as my ideas even if we agree. That’s why in this post I am not endorsing any candidate. I am just urging you to vote, to cast your ballot, to raise your voice. Why? Because you can. There are countries around the world where people today in 2016 cannot decide their fate because of the type of government runs their county. Even if you look back on America there were points in our history where minorities and even women were allowed to vote.
I encourage you to vote. That is the message I want to share with you today.
Then I began to think, why should voting matter to military spouses? Voting matters because our spouses in the military defend our right to vote every day. You have a freedom to choose a Presidential candidate that can change the course of your life and impact issues that matter to you.
“Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt
Vote in this upcoming election because you can make a difference. I just like everyone in the United States has had front row seats to witness the ever evolving presidential primary from Facebook feeds to Twitter wars to various scandals from both opposing sides and the conflict of who is right for the Presidency. I am sitting back to see how all of this plays out but I will be there in November to cast my vote.
I say to you cast a vote because our brave military service members at home and aboard fight to defend our vote to right and all our rights.
