Why you should Fall In Love with your New Duty Station Home

A Past Remembered

Moving can be a very stressful thing in one’s life. Recently I just packed up a 3-bedroom house and moved into a smaller two bedroom apartment. I can’t believe how much stuff I accumulated in the four years I lived at my house. There were lots of things about my old house I loved. I love the patio where I could entertain and BBQ. I love the massive trees that give me shade in the summer and a place to hide when they wanted to be alone. I love how warm it felt in my house in the winter with the heater on. There’s so many things I loved about my house but it was time to move.

A New Journey

My wife and I decided to move closer to her job on base. It wasn’t the hardest decision to move but rather hectic and chaotic because we moved in such a short amount of time. We did it, we packed boxes and boxes of stuff I had. I Googled and Googled and looked on rent.com and viewed many apartments and we found a very cute apartment.

New Memories to Make

It felt crazy moving from such a big space to such a small place. I went from being able to just walk out to my garage to storage whatever to asking myself do I really need this item.
